Cuisenaire Rods
These rods are small pieces of wood or plastic (created by Georges Cuisenaire ) which measure between one and ten centimetres in length .
All the rods of the same length are the same colour.
In Silent Way language classes they are used to create clear situations for students to describe.
On this site there are interactive exercises for students of English where virtual, two-dimensional rods are used.
